The GPO Inquiry
The 1939 Royal Commission into the Contracts for the Extension of the Sydney GPO would ultimately lead to Henderson’s suicide. The saga of the GPO Extension is a complex one, involving money, politics, allegations of corruption, administrative failure and the law.
